Pulled the Plug.

As of this past Tuesday the South Dakota Kamnikars are officially without cable TV. We cancelled our Midco Cable TV and are just paying for internet now. (i'm crazy but not stupid!) - It will be interesting to see how we do with just Over-The-Air HD programming. I'm actually not too worried about losing any programs because most of what we watch is on the main networks.

The biggest change will be no WGN for baseball. However between the XM radio, and MLB.tv I dont think I will miss any games that I could have watched.

As far as shows for the kids go, I had been anticipating the switch for some time and have a hard drive full of Mickey Mouse and Backyardigans recorded over the last 3 months.

I will try to update here every so often to keep a running log of how my life without Cable goes. It's rather ironic that me, the biggest tech-geek in the family has reverted back to using rabbit ears to watch TV, but it IS HDTV ..So I should still get some street cred for that :)
