Milestone

L rolled over by herself for the first time! After M went to bed she was laying under her arch of toys and she started rolling over to her side and just staying there. Then all of a sudden she rolled over onto her stomach. She couldn't get her arm out from underneath her and she was mad that she was on her stomach with her face in the blanket so Dad rolled her back. She proceeded to roll over three more times, each one was a struggle but it was so cute to watch. When Dad picked her up she had such a big grin on her face - like did you see me, I did it! I think she is also close to laughing, she smiles big at M, Dad or I and there is a tiny echo of sound. It's official she is learning to do things on her own.

I posted a bunch of new pictures of Lily and her big Sister Maggie. Along with a slew of pics of all the nice visits we got from people in the hospital. As far as an update goes. Lily is doing great, just a few ounces shy of her birthweight already and going strong. Mom is slowly recovering and Dad is doing his best to keep them both happy. Maggie on the other hand is in HEAVEN as she has Grandma and Grandpa full time to entertain her. It seems she has an on call "horsey" whenever she wants it. Tonight we ventured outside for the first time that didn't involve a dr. appointment. We went out to eat at Olive Garden and it quite possibly was one of the best meals we have ate out in a LONG time! Both girls were perfect.. Lily sleeping through and not needing to eat.. and Maggie eating her meal with out so much as a complaint. Talk about small miracles! Anyway - Here are the pics there are a lot of them, I think I counted 73! (couldnt resist . . They all looked cute!!

There is a whole story to tell involving a mad dash to the hospital and me getting VERY cranky with the ER staff but I will tell that at a later date. As it is Mom and Daughter are doing great and resting well. I'm exhausted but happy that everything came out ok. (bad choice of words) Anyway - I promise for a longer update when we have had a chance to collect our thoughts.. but for now here are some pictures from early this morning (12:09 AM to be precise!) Well another Monday Dr. Appointment has come and gone with no news to report. The Dr. said that the baby was just waiting until it was ready to make an appearance. Which, as you can imagine is fairly frustrating to Danelle and I. Danelle really had her heart set on sharing her birthday which looks like isnt going to happen. (Although who knows, we're going for a walk tonight.. maybe we can speed things up) The important thing for us to remember is the due date isnt even until Thursday so we really shouldnt get our hopes up until then. I just think we are all THREE of us are ready to meet this little person inside Danelle's belly. I've started to calling it "Daddy's little Alien" because I swear, Danelle's stomach looks EXACTLY like the guys did right before the alien pops up.. She will just sit there and it MOVES.. A LOT. It's really cool. Maggie I think is just as anxious as us to meet her new brother OR sister. She has asked me a couple times if "The new baby was coming today?" I had to tell her "probably not today" in the hopes of being wrong. She's also dialed up the cuteness factor to eleven now. In the morning she will kiss moms belly and then holler at it "GOODBYE BABY!" It's pretty sweet. Otherwise not a whole lot of news from Sioux Falls. We celebrated Danelle's birthday on saturday with a nice supper out with our friends and NO kids. We all remarked how nice it was not to have to yell at anyone to sit down or have to cut anybody's food up. Too bad it'll be another year before we get to do THAT again! Yesterday we went out for a nice brunch with Danelle's folks and then went and checked out all the ice melting at the Falls.. THAT was cool. I could have watched the huge ice chunks break off and go over the falls for hours. Well I better wrap this up. But before I do a request. I PROMISE we will let you ALL know when the baby is born. We are not going to keep it a secret. But we are getting the impression that you all don't trust us. You keep calling and asking "any news yet?".. Trust me.. when we know something .. so will you.. Also.. when we DO call you, let us talk first rather than answering the phone "Boy or a Girl?" I know you all want to be the first to know but it's kind of frustrating to call you up and then have you dissapointed to talk to us rather than getting baby news :) Again.. We WILL call people.. we have a whole list of people we are going to call when we DO have the baby.. More than likely if you are getting this email post, then you are on the list :) Sorry to sound like a grouch..but I think we the hardest part of having the Dr. tell us "Not this week" is the realization we have to deal with another week of people (coworkers etc.) asking us about it. Well thats all for now. Have a good week.. I hope I have to post sooner than next weeks update.. P.S. One last thing. I never did get set up a calendar as far as guessing the baby's birthdate, sex, weight, etc.. If you want to guess feel free to throw them in the comments of this post. Winner gets a prize! UPDATED- I saw that I had wrote "Maggies brother AND sister" I meant "OR" we are NOT having twins! I've corrected that!
